Welcome, great intro. I own both LTR's and have dabbled in the STR space in the Poconos for many years now. Also have a PM company located in Pocono Lake, let me know if there is anything you need along the way.

Yes the Airbnb game is a very fluid situation in the Poconos with ordinances changing regularly. Having a good pulse of the market is key which is sometimes difficult when you’re an out of state investor. Having a solid team (property manager) on the ground will help mitigate buying in the wrong area.
Our meetup is actually happing tonight and is typically the first Thursday of every other month. BP won’t allow me to post on this forum so DM if you want specifics.

@Jewel B. great job putting in that work on getting educated on REI. The "real" education begins once you get your first deal under contract! I have many years of investing in the Poconos with a good mix of LTR's, STR's, multi family and a few fix and flips. Would be happy to connect.

Also I host a meetup in NEPA if you’re ever in the area.

Is there a question or is this a property for sale?

Agreed that certain parts of the Poconos are very rural but there is still plenty of amenities they offer that Lehigh does not.  Kalahari, Great Wolf, 3 major ski mountains, plenty of hiking, golf and other outdoor activities.  Not to mention its proximity to NY and NJ.

One last thing to consider is the expected development of Margaritaville that will generate roughly 1500 good paying jobs.

Just my 2 cents...

@Alyssa Altonaga Its township to township dependent, the list @Michael Baum shared should be helpful.

We have a property management company in Pocono lake with licensed agents, I would be happy to make the intro.
