Check out WeeCasa in Lyons, CO. It's a tiny home hotel. Tiny homes are legit and they've gotten a "pass" in that town because of short term rental. As opposed some of us trying to build long term living situation for tiny homes.

Any thoughts on getting into tiny home community development? They're the next evolution of mobile homes, in my opinion. On top of it being an emerging market. Lots of opportunity. My team and I are working on our first project in the Colorado Springs area and have been in the tiny home space for the last 3 years, including building my own tiny.

@Joshua Christensen Have you looked into Real Estate crowdfunding platforms like Fundrise or Buy the Block? Could be a place to park your money and be hands off. Just a thought.

Thank you @Taylor L.! I have reason to believe that our returns are in line with our risk. My SVP, Finance is a real estate guy and investor himself so he's validated things. I'll have to talk with him about adding a GP to the mix. Again, thank you.

@Joe Dwonch - I put a small amount in Fundrise back in 2019 just to see how it goes. There's certainly gains to be made there. If you're looking for other project based crowdfunding, you could look into smaller botique crowdfunding platforms like Buy the Block.

Happy Wednesday BiggerPockets!

My team and I have have a crowdfunding campaign we're running for predevelopment capital on a tiny home community project we're working on. We have the property under contract and have the cooperation of the jurisdiction. Our engineers are progressing on the required documentation. We had a great start on the initial launch but it seems that we've plateaued and I'm trying to figure out how we can give it a needed push to get us to the $107,000 goal. We have the normal social media ads rolling, email drip campaigns running, etc.

What are your thoughts on reigniting the momentum?

@Jillian Sidoti - As a someone who has an active crowdfunding campaign for my tiny home community project, I can relate to the smaller amounts. We did get a $10k investor recently. Talk about excitement there! Lots of cheering!

I'm currently invested in a tiny home project on Buy the Block, a small crowdfunding platform based in Denver, CO. I think that CFing for real estate can be an option for most "retail investors" who don't want to have large 25,000 entry points. Just my opinion.
