Matching handles...I hadn't thought of that! We are working on our 2nd live-in rehab and have simply got what we could find a good price on and haven't had any comments on brands not matching up either.

Ha, suddenly is over extended by a quarter million! - that's a bummer and I am sure a disappointment. Its sounds like you are heading in the right direction though: finding a strategic partner that you can move forward with and make decisions together. Then the random hard money folks will be more willing to lend after you have a proven model and some skin in the game.

Hey Folks,

Glad to see the sun is out and spring is underway! I have been seeing some discussion on the forums lately about the Bloomington market and a lot of new investors are interested in getting engaged. This is a perfect discussion point for our monthly meeting of new investors and investors looking to grow their business.

We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month (that's this Saturday, 3/19) at 10 am at the Scholar's Inn Bakehouse by Target.

This month our discussion will focus on better understanding the Bloomington market by 1) identifying key metrics that investors should be focusing on (appreciation, debt pay down, cash flow, a diverse portfolio, etc.) and 2. understanding how we begin to compete with this town's "old money" and large out of state investors -- notice all of the high end apartment complexes being built around campus, I bet those aren't financed by "Mom and Pop Investors."

As always, this is a free gathering of folks having breakfast and coffee who are interested in improving their lives through real estate. Join us if you can!

Awesome deal Corey, we will miss you in Bloomington! I am thinking along the same lines as John Weidner might be, it's tricky working with just one other person and a whole group of folks going in on a deal adds a lot of extra layers. Make sure to get an attorney and CPA on your team...or bring them in on the deal!!

Hey folks! Hope these brisk mornings have been invigorating!

In leiu of the holiday season with family events and workplace gatherings, I think it best to forego this month's investor meeting...unless I hear otherwise from everyone!

Have a wonderful end of the year, I hope you finish strong and check a few things off your goal sheet! I will be in touch in a few weeks with info for the 1st meeting of the new year...2016! Wow.
