Post: Mastermind Groups

@Brandon Turner I posted this in two different spots however... I thought about this because I would like to have a BP meetup in St. Louis and call it the Bigger Pockets Mastermind Group. There are two successful wholesaler's in the area that I would ask to co host or chair the group. I think it would be a big success especially with all the information on BP alone.

I have heard several books and podcasts refer to Mastermind groups. Is joining a mastermind group a road to gaining knowledge, networking, and success? I am open to all opinions on the benefits of mastermind groups.

@Brandon Carter Have you joined a local REIA group or two? I currently belong to two which is helping out a lot because of different perspectives on looking at investing. One group holds one type of seminar and the other group holds all kinds of seminars which I like. Read RE books and blogs as much as you can, it will help out a lot.

@Brandon Carter Welcome to the BP Community, I would first learn as much as I can so you can relate to terms, snafu's, and different options in real estate. Also read the Bigger Pocket's free Beginner's Guide under the learn tab and listen to the podcasts which are very good too.

The seller says there is potential for $6000-$7000 a month rental income but I dont really trust that. Any help or advce would be appreciated!! Thank you all.

I would reach out to a local agent or broker in the area. Also are you in a local REIA group because someone should be able to assist you also.

@Nicholas Kless It has changed already and now I am fully vested in working on various real estate deals. It was just time for me to get off the side lines and start throwing offer's to different sellers. Also welcome to the BP community, I hope you are learning a lot. Feel free to reach out and learn amazing new things.

@Johnathan Bennett Darren is very much so correct, if you take the time to learn on BP. Not only will you learn just about 99.9% of everything you need to know. You will be better prepared than ANY guru class, workshop, or audio. The .1% is the experience you need under your belt. Join a local REIA club which will have workshops on investing and network with others too. Also read the free BP beginner's guide under the learn tab, ask questions, and participate in forums. You are on your way to being investor but it takes time, commitment, and dedication. No get rich fast, only get rich slow.
