Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well! Just wanted to shout out that I along with a multitude of other investors will be at the Jake and Gino Multifamily Mastermind event this coming weekend in Orlando, FL! Would love to connect and network with other investors, syndicators, operators, entrepreneurs, etc.

Real Estate is a people's game! Looking forward to building some meaningful relationships!

Hello Benjamin!

How was your experience with the Jake and Gino mastermind event? I'm contemplating and doing futher research to see if joining their mentorship would be the right choice for me. I'm a pretty new investor and have recently acquired 2 SFH rentals this past 6 months. In the long run, I want to expand tp apartments and large MFHs to be able to achieve FI. Honest feedback with their mastermind would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Regine

@Regine C. joining a community like J&G is the ideal and right next step forward.

I joined the community 5 years ago from New Zealand, and it really changed my life and thought me how to scale from SFR, small sfr to growth mindset and larger Multifamily deals. the team are awosem and Jake and Gino are very approachable pepole.

you should connect with @Dillon McGough ! he is very helpful.

Quote from @Briar Bearss:

Hi all!

In February, we closed on our first syndication (32 unit motel listed via Airbnb, $1.3M Cap Raise) so we have experience in the space.

I'm currently looking for a solid mastermind/network focused on multifamily deals, specifically capital raising so that I can learn more from accomplished CMF veterans that have raised millions! Let me know if anybody ahs any recommendations and/or referrals!

I don't know of any Mastermind that promotes herself as Capital Rasing mastermind, and what you describe sounds like a fine line. I suggest you educate yourself on the SEC Syndicatyion rules before looking into any syndication or partnerships.

In saying that, I think the Jake & Gino community is a great place to start!! Talk to @Gino Barbaro

@Zachary Schimenz is it a single-family or multifamily?

What's the value?

@Chris Dye Eagle bank is relatively a small bank and very conservative, I tried reading out to them a few times and had no luck. they come across as a bank that wants to do business only with people who are based in Central AR.

@Account Closed and Javier, you are an awesome team!

Your success is an excellent example of how to Make It Happen even if you are based in a Market that is tougher to invest in.

We often see investors from the east or west coast struggling to find a deal in their local market because the price to rent ratio make sense, or the Landlord/Tenant laws are inadequate.

You both grabbed the bull by the horns and looked further afield, into markets that make more sense.

The key is to join a good team and work with solid boots on the ground.

Keep up the good work!

@Vivi Liu, it is possible to have more extended vacancies this time of the year. This should narrow down now.

It would be best to make sure the property managers properly advertise and show your investments.

Ask for feedback from applicants and how many applications they had that converted to showing etc.

@Kevin L. King welcome to BP.  I have also been investing in the US from New Zealand for the past five years nearly. Mainly focused on Multifamily.

The key is choosing the right market and building your team.

You can read or listen to David Green's Book, BP Published, which has some great tips that could help you out.

at the end of the day, it is almost like investing out of state, the key difference is your ability or inability to borrow money in the US. There are some forginer buyer's loans, but the LTV is typically lower.

More often than not, it is much easier to buy for Cash or have a US-based partner.

You bet @Yosef Lee !! BTW, Do you have the recording for this Event/ Meet up?

If yes, please DM me the link, I have a couple of friends who couldn't make it, and they asked to pick up some of the golden nuggets. It was genuinely excellent free multifamily education!!

I also highly recommend @Yosef Lee meet up with Multifamily Investors Network NY.

I attended one last night, and it was awesome. There were nearly100 on zoom, with great speakers and multifamily investing strategies for 2020.
