Post: Great tenants, but want to sell house

I’ve had beautiful tenants for 8 years -

never once late with paying rent,

but I am ready to sell the house.
The lease ends in 3 months.

What’s the best way to let them know I’d like them to move because I’m selling ?
They cannot afford to buy it.
should i go month to month or not renew at all ? Thanks very much!

What is the point in having a lease if you’re not going to adhere to it? I would not have let her out one month early unless she pays for it.

What exactly is wear and tear anyway ? if the condition is not the same as when they moved in , then they are responsible.

Kyle, thanks for your recommendation - i will buy it for the tub. No plans to smash it up or substitute a shower. This will work just fine. Thank you everybody for your feedback.

Fwiw- I live in the city and invest in upstate New York , specifically Sullivan and ulster county. It is within a two hour ride and taxes are low. I would avoid Long Island because of the taxes.

It totally matters whether an adult or a child is living in the house. children chew on things that are not edible unlike adults.

That is why the law clearly states it is not a health hazard, and does not need to be remediated, unless a young child is living there.

you are Way out of line and I don’t

appreciate this.
