My rent-controlled apartment in Manhattan is being re- bricked

outside and the walls are crumbling . landlord said it’s a health hazard to stay , and asked me to leave for 7 to 10 days but not providing a hotel or an alternative space .
can they do that legally ?

Anybody can sue anyone for
anything . I have the impression you’ve done everything right , so I don’t think you should have any worries.

My understanding “as is “

means you are buying it as is -

the seller will not do anything .

that does not mean you can’t amend your offer.

Roy - you’re in the same situation as me. I’m dependent on cash flow for income. Not sure I can pay my own expenses with good looks!

Didn’t realize that . I
always have long term renters.
In this case , if I have a vacancy for one month it would cost me $1800
