@Account Closed   To be absolutely clear, you CAN leave a letter. But, you CANNOT put it in the mailbox. You can leave it on the screen door or any place else. Just NOT in the mailbox.

@Will Peters Thanks for your answer. But, what is D4D? Is that "Driver for Dollars?"

Hi! I'm currently fundraising for deals I plan to do this year. Any recommendations for private money? Or reputable hard money lenders in Los Angeles or Orange Counties?

Daniel Ramirez Good luck with your efforts. Try direct mail, driving for dollars, Craigslist. I personally think it's a crappy way to do business. Ever notice that you usually only see those signs in lower income areas? That's because people with money and influence don't want that mess making their neighborhoods like crap. But most so-called "investors" only care about the money they make, with really no consideration for the people in the areas in which they work. I also know that I'm not the only person who feels this way. If you care about the reputation you're helping perpetuate about investors, then stop it with the bandit signs. Limit sign use to places where you've gotten permission and on your own properties. Good luck to you.

Hey, @Shanda Brown, I just saw this post...and I'm curious to know if you kept going with that list. And, if so, how is it going? Any deals? Or, did you at least get some decent response?

@Richard Holzhauer I'm currently, using the yellowletters.com 6 month campaign. It involves 6 monthly mailings, of different types. The messages are pre-written, so you just have to order the quantity and upload your list (or you can purchase the list from them). I'm using my own list. I'm in month two, which is a yellow letter. It's also the protocol that @Claire Trammell is suggesting. I'm doing it this way because the company yellowletters.com has a great reputation.

@Don Enrique Thank you! Sounds similar to what @Kathleen Khan suggested. Sounds like a great idea. I'm going to try that with my next larger list.

As for the needs of the list goes- at this time, I'm focusing on high equity, absentees and I'm using yellowletters.com for the mailings. Michael Quarles has a six- month recommended campaign that he uses. So, I'm trying that. All the letters are pre-written.

The campaign mailings go in this order:

1) small text postcard 2) Yellow letter 3) Large text postcard  4)Typed Letter 5) Greeting Card (Seasonal) 6) Zip Letter

I also have another smaller list that I've put together by driving for dollars. I'm going to send letters to that list, that I create here, at home. I'll have to type the letters, though, because my penmanship is MD quality. lol
