@Kathleen L. Hi, great idea! I am always up for meeting fellow investors. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the meeting on April 8th, might be out of town, but keep me posted on future meet-ups.

@Melvin Yuen Thanks for the mention!

Felix, you have the right attitude, don't give up! It took my partner and I about 4 months of actively making offers to land our first deal. Regardless of how long it takes, if this is what you really want you need to keep at it, eventually you'll land one!

On another note, you might get more responses if you add a profile picture.

Good Luck!

Rich,

great question, yes, you print the owners name on each postcard. As Brian mentioned, if you are printing them yourself you can set this up in the mail merge. If you are using a company you will need to find one that accomodates this preference: yellowletters.com will do it but something like vistaprint will not.

Welcome Esther! you have found a great resource. Check out the BP Beginners guide, this will give you an overview so you can see what appeals to you. There are a couple active Bay Area Meetups, hope to see you there.

Naveen,

Submitting offers in the Bay Area can be frustrating right now, lots of competition. It is a little odd that you were outbid on properties that had already been on the market for months though. 3 times is too small of a sample to draw conclusions on your strategy. It's possible that the properties had standing offers below asking and your offer made them realize it was time to accept what they could. I would contact the listing agent in each case and ask them for some insight. Explain that you are curious why your offer wasn't accepted so you can adjust your offer on the next one. Good Luck. @Denise Madrid
