Damn, just goes to show nothing is set in stone until the check is deposited on the day of closing. I've sort of had this happen to me before...not exactly as inconvenient as your situation but at the end of the day I had to let the deal go. I was not about to get into a battle with this seller...wouldn't be worth my time or energy (plus he was freakin huge).

Just my thoughts, your situation might be different.

Hey Lynnette! I too used to lurk around the forums without actually being of any value to anyone else lol. Now, I respond to certain forum posts but I still don't know if they are of value hahaha anyways glad you're officially on the site and can't wait to see your progress!

Hey Jen! We're not exactly in the same area (complete opposite coasts) but just wanted to say congrats on upgrading to Pro! You seem like you have a good plan as far as how you want your options to play out...can't wait to see what you accomplish. Anyways, just wanted to reach out and say hi!!

Hey Sarah....that's a totally valid thing to be scared about. What I've found, especially being (and sounding) like a super young girl is that the more phone calls you make, the easier it gets. I know that's not exactly rocket science and really corny but the more you talk to these people, the more you realize it's just a regular conversation and as long as you are professional and friendly, you'll be fine!! My best tip would be to write out what you will say to the person right when they pick up the phone. Having a good opening line/topic always makes me feel more confident because if I can't control the entire conversation, at least I know how to start it. I've also found that rejections seem to get easier the more they come, too. Hahaha hope this helps!!

Hey Carol, awesome progress!!

If you're looking for a house flipping mentor, sure, you could find one on BP but better yet go to one of your local real estate investors meeting. You'll definitely be in the presence of a few (if not more) established house flippers in your area!! Hope this helps.

What's up Ian, welcome to BP.

I'm in your same position....I go to Bryant University in Rhode Island but my main focus is definitely on real estate investing. Since its only summer, I don't quite know how I'm going to balance investing, school, friends, etc. but I know that all of the hours of sacrifice will be worth it in the long run. If you're ready to make investing your top priority, BP is the perfect place to start. Begin reading, take action, and repeat. Hope this helps.
