@Jon Holdman Hey Jon thanks for the clarification. I am also curious to if these apartments would show up on probate lists like a house would. If there is an address would they include the unit number. Are there any special ways to approaching apartments, there seems like a lot of oppurtunity to the high volume of aparment owners. I am going to drive for dollars in the next week and wondering if there was a diffrent approach for thsese.

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I live in Queens Ny, I am starting out in wholesaling. I see a lot of apartments for sale inside buildings, I was under the impression that people owned the apartment buildings. Apartments that people own out right or with built up equity can you wholesale these properties? Do you need permission from the owner of the entire building? Queens has a very dense population and there are a lot of people that own apartments for around $100,000, where as the house prices are closer to half a million and way over.

@Jordan Pierre Hey Jordan welcome aboard, I am new to real estate investing as well in the NYC area. I have personally read both books that @Darren Sager mentioned and they are both two of the best books on real estate investing that I have read. @j scott book on flipping is THE BEST I have looked high and low and have read everything out there on flipping and nothing comes close. If you have want to meet up just send me a message in my inbox! Ask questions and go through all the threads, resources, blogs, EVERYTHING. Best of Luck Jordan.

Hey Guys,

I have heard all the benefits of having a website, and will absolutly be creating one soon. When you are starting out is one of the first steps creating a website? Or could I start putting up bandit signs and sending out yellow letters without having a website. I see a lot of people say they have a website to attract sellers, is this necessary before your first deal? any opinions would be greatly appreciated as always.

Hey Guys,

I am trying to figure out what makes more sense. Either going with a list from one of the many sites or doing my own work in the county assessor office. I once find a great thread taking about leads without MLS access but cant seem to find it again. Back to the origanal post, it seems a lot of people use the list's, that doesn't dilute the leads that will turn in to deals?
