Real Estate Hackers - we all know that books, blogs, and step by step instructions can only teach you so much about real estate investing. At some point, you’ve got to dive in and engage in an investing experience for yourself to truly learn - that is where the most valuable and personal knowledge comes from. We’re excited to bring you an entire night of personal lessons learned from decades of buying single family homes with our next incredible hybrid fireside chat guest speaker, Eric Brewer of Integrity First Home Buyers.

Since 2006, Eric has completed more than 3000 residential real estate deals in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. His experience covers a wide range of deal types and strategies including novations, wholesaling, flipping, construction, direct-to-seller marketing, turnkey rentals, and property management. He is currently the owner of Integrity First Home Buyers based in York, PA, which does nearly 350 deals per year and is comprised of 40+ staff members.

Eric believes in dedication to family and community. He and his team provide annual donations and sponsorships for children, student athletes, local churches, and others in need. His commitment to service started in 1994 when he joined the United States Army in the Avionics Division.

As an entrepreneur, Eric continues to grow his brand and share his knowledge and experience with others through motivational and educational speaking engagements. His greatest joys are his wife Sonia, son Camden, and daughters Mya, Lily, Olivia, and Sophia.

Keeping with the fireside chat style of our meetups, the conversation will be loosely guided by Chad, and made more dynamic with YOUR participation - in person or online. Between Chad and Eric they have overseen various aspects of real estate in over 10,000 properties — varying from investments, property management, and transactions. There’s bound to be some interesting lessons learned in there - the good, bad, bizarre, and perhaps even comical.

A few points that will be touched on…
- What does the next 6 months look like from a market perspective?
- How are you thinking of financing in this very strange rapidly rising interest rate environment
- Do you think we will see more owners looking for fast sales, similar to 2010 timeframe?
- How will the rental market be impacted by rising interest rates, inflation, and a sagging economy?

And many more q’s from anyone in the audience!

The virtual experience will be streamed from Facebook Live - see viewing information below! In Lancaster (800 New Holland Ave, Lancaster, PA) with seating for 100 people in the room, we will have beer and refreshments for the folks that want to join in person and network with like-minded real estate investors in the area – tons of fun and value from meeting other folks in real estate.

Hope to see you there on Thursday October 20th at 6:30pm for networking, 7pm for content!

ONLINE VIEWING INFORMATION

The event will be streamed live from Chad's public profile on Facebook starting at 7pm - search "Chad Gallagher" on Facebook. The stream will also be shared to our Real Estate Hackers Community Facebook page.

VAs: How & when to hire them, How to manage them, Scale your business with them

Our speaker this month will be the founder of Outsource Mylife, Luis Vanderhorst.

Outsource My Life is a marketing and virtual assistants placement agency that specializes in Real Estate. Prior to its official launch, Luis had been assisting real estate investors and agents from across the country with lead generation and branding services. The birth of the agency started out of a need for Luis to keep his real estate company running while he still held his full-time job as a public school teacher, which he still has to this day. Today, he manages a team of graphic designers, web developers, digital marketers, and copywriters. He can assist other busy real estate professionals with everything from branding to lead generation to asset management, to name a few.

This is not a paid commercial for Luis or his company. Nothing will be for sale or anything like that. This will be a content rich class on how to get the most from virtual assistants, and how to affordably scale your business using them.

At our event Luis will be covering the following topics.

  • Benefits of outsourcing for you and for your clients
  • Pros and cons of US-based employees vs. oversee virtual assistants
  • How I was able to keep my business running with virtual assistants while working a W2 job as a teacher
  • Managing virtual assistants
  • How to train virtual assistants
  • Tasks that can be performed by virtual assistants
  • Where to find virtual assistants

As with other great speakers we have had, I will be the guy right down front taking notes. I am excited and cant wait to see you there.

Bring deals to discuss. Bring cards to hand out. Bring questions to ask. Bring ideas to share. Bring a mind ready to learn. Bring a friend. And come as you are, we are open to all, of any experience level. We have full time investors, people looking for the elusive first deal and all spots in between.

The meetings are held at the Red Lion Hotel 4751 Lindle Road Harrisburg, PA 17111

Thanks to all who attended our first hybrid fireside chat meetup last month! We’re excited to keep this series rolling and next up on our roster of amazing guest speakers is Dave Hyson & Isaac Spearman of Premier Home Solutions based in York, PA!

These guys are first class all the way with crazy real estate experience. This wholesaling duo operates a high performance real estate solutions company that buys, rehabs, repositions, and sells properties, with a top priority focus on helping homeowners sell their house quickly and for a fair price. Dave is an investor, realtor, and owner of PHS; in his own words, he’s been “a buy and hold cash flow investor since before it was cool.” Isaac, an investor, realtor, and partner at PHS has over 250 transactions under his belt and specializes in helping investors purchase and liquidate investment real estate.

This month Chad, Dave, and Isaac will be discussing SFHs vs multifamily properties: the good, the bad, the ugly. Which type of property is a better investment in the current market, what are pro’s and con’s to focusing on each. Just like last month — we will be sure to include viewpoints and questions form the audience to make it as dynamic and interesting as possible.

Some things that will be discussed….

  • Thoughts on market pricing of SFH vs Multi?
  • How is inflation changing how you think about investing in these classes?
  • Interest rates and the most recent experience working with various debt facilities
  • Recommendations for finding safe investments
  • Personal lessons learned from seeing so many transactions
  • And much more!

This is sure to be a dynamic conversation, especially with YOUR input and questions - whether you can make it in person or attend online! The virtual experience will be streamed from Facebook Live - RSVP and access the live stream from this link - https://fb.me/e/5E9l7iey6.

In Lancaster (800 New Holland Ave, Lancaster, PA – come around to the back of the building to the 2nd floor) with seating for 100 people in the room, we will have beer and refreshments for the folks that want to join in person and network with like-minded real estate investors in the area – tons of fun and value from meeting other folks in real estate.

6:30pm for in person networking with content & live stream starting at 7pm. Hope to see you there on Wednesday September 14th!
