Daniel is also a Vice President at title insurance agency, Steamtown Closings. He's closed residential and commercial real estate at one of the only title agencies conducting fully remote, online closings. Chad and Ashleigh Gallagher will be sharing their experience getting their first Airbnb up and running (it has its own Instagram @thebaybreak if you want to take a sneak peek).

Chad is from Lititz, PA, and worked in digital advertising until he started a property management company with his best friend from Warwick High School. His company merged with Home365 in 2021 and is now one of the largest property management companies in the entire country. Ashleigh grew up in Northern Virginia and just finished her Ph.D. in Public Health from Johns Hopkins. So basically nothing related to running an Airbnb :).

Chad and Ashleigh both have experience managing real estate rental units, but this is their first time starting an Airbnb, and they started big with an 8-bedroom 8,000 square foot Airbnb on the Chesapeake Bay. They will discuss how they found the property, potential tax advantages, revenue potential, unforeseen costs, helpful technology/apps, lessons learned in their first year, and the pros and cons of running an Airbnb.

They have a daughter Isabelle (6) and a son Clayton (10 months). Fun fact: they both went to the University of Virginia for college but they actually met after college (ask Chad about the first night they met if you want to hear a funny story).

Bring your questions for a Q&A session after the content and get ready to connect with your fellow investors!

Micah started investing in real estate 4 years ago when he bought his first property to live in while renting out a portion for a short term rental. Very quickly, he realized that his market (Ann Arbor, MI) needed more short term rentals but he didn’t have the capital to buy properties, so he figured out how to do short term rental arbitrage to boost his monthly cash flow. Pretty quickly he had several rentals going while working a full-time job and raising small children with his wife.

Recently, Micah moved back to Pittsburgh and is investing full-time doing short term rentals. Come hear his story, and learn from his experiences on how to find your first property, get it ready to rent, all while working a full-time job with a family!
