I would suggest attending some of the local REI meetings here in San Antonio. There are plenty of people who are there that will be willing to share advice to help you get started.

I would have to agree with Paul.  You are going to be in a great position either way, but if you can avoid giving away money that could be used elsewhere thats the route I would recommend.

Congrats on your progress and best of luck as you continue on your investment journey.  Our market is one of the best for what you are doing.

Security Service and Randolph Brooks FCU are both good for home loans.   I have also had several clients have luck with investment financing from Jefferson Bank.

@Joel Bowen Our population is booming and will continue to do so.   The cost of living in San Antonio compared to the other big cities in Texas is lower and businesses are opening left and right.  We have the ability (land-wise) to grow in all four directions so I would say growth here is going to very positive.
