Post: What if real estate agents knew about wholesaling?

This is a confusing thread, and not worth reading twice. For me suffice it to say, this is not a 1% rule, but probably more like the 80/20 rule where 20% of the (insert wholesaler/realtor/salesperson) make 80% of the $$, in there given field.

I am sure there are no stats on what the avg. wholesaler makes, but the avg. RE agent makes less than 30k per year! (source: http://www.realtor.org/library/library/fg103)

I also think if you lined up 10 Realtors with varying degrees of experience from 1 to 10 years, only four/five would even know the term "Wholesaling"!

On the opposite note, if you lined up 10 wholesalers, they would only know of 2 good Realtors...lol!

Since we are approaching tax season, and I am new to investing, I figure it would be a good idea to look/interview for a CPA?

Do you have any qualifying questions I should ask?

I figure one pre-qualifiying question would be if they have real estate investments themselves. Aside from that I am at a loss, any help much appreciated.

I remember seeing another thread, where someone said not to be too concerned with the CPA portion of those creditentials. Do BP'ers agree?

Thanks,
Keith

Excellent Thread Alex Jefferson, and if you do not mind, I am starting too in wholesaling in 2012, and wish you all best of luck, and to post my progress too!

I am taking a slightly different approach, I am not concerned about my buyers list (although I have collected cards from every re-habber, I could in the three different REI meetings I have attended in the last 3 months - Dec. did not count!) I plan on finding a great deal first, and I am sure the buyers will follow.

There is truth to what Jeffrey K. has mentioned about the "We buy Houses" signs... think about it! (Jeffrey isnt Vandaley from a Seinfield episode? LOL!)

Happy Wholesaling! - Keith
