Post: How do you determine where cash buyers are buying?

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to find out where cash buyers are buying?  I'm in the Houston area and I'm trying to figure out what zip codes to start my very first Direct Mail campaign in.  Any tips would be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Hey @Corey Petersen congrats on getting started with your Campaign.  I plan on starting out this weekend.  I'm curious what kind of verbiage you plan on sending for you next mailing to that same list?  Are you going to mention that you are following up with them? Also, do you plan on using colored envelopes again?  Last question, Lol, do you have a tracking system in place?

@Mike McCowan

The last time I was down there I asked the Constable who was doing the auctioning, how could a person stop their house for being auctioned off?... He said that they would have to call the tax office downtown and set up some kind of payment/payment plan to buy them at least another month.

Hello @Carl Washington, I know I'm super late but did you ever find a title company to work with in the Houston area?

Hey @David Ward

I'm curious if you were able to find someone to work with in the Houston area regarding the assignment of contracts?

@Jason Munck Such a great thread with great info.  I am a new wholesaler getting all my systems in place and should start my first marketing campaign in a few weeks.  I am printing this thread out for a guide for when I do get that first property under contract... Thanks a lot!!!

@Van Similine

Good Morning Man, You have to mess around with the criteria to get it to where you want to be.  There's a way you can buy partial pieces of lists as well.  Check out the links provided by @Steve G. & @DaNia Allen

Welcome to BP @Eric Dickinson

I'm actually in the same boat as you when it comes to wholesaling. I've been taking it all in lately and it really seems like a great way to get going in REI. See you around!
