Post: At what point should I use a call screening service?

Hello BP,

I'm wondering if need to invest in a call screening service for my incoming calls or to just let them go to my Google Voice VM?

My budget will allow me to probably send out about 300 pieces a month.  I do have a full-time job and at times it is difficult to step out for incoming calls.

Thank you for any feedback.

Hey @Cody Jensen

I would definitely consider going to the local REIA and asking that same question there. You will find seasoned investors who have and still do work with real estate companies/agents that are investor friendly. Good Luck!

Welcome to BP @Stacy Howdeshell

BP is hands down the best network/site to learn anything and everything regarding REI. I'm also a Houstonian getting started with Wholesaling. I plan on using the capital to fund Rental properties for passive income. If you have any questions or anything feel free to reach out. Also, there are quite a few meetups that are held monthly. The best one that I've come across is organized by @Charles Nguyen.  You can contact him for all the info or set your keywords to "Houston Meetup" I believe.

Have a great day!

Thank you @Andrew Syrios@Mike Cumbie

As I was finishing the post I realized that more than likely they are going to be owned by landlords.  So, I guess the best thing to do would be search them really quick to see if the owners reside at that specific property.

Thanks

Hello BP,

When “Driving for Dollars” wouldn’t it make sense to also get out and knock on the door or leave a note if they aren’t home?

Seems like it wouldn’t hurt.Verses only taking the address and mailing them a letter.

Any thoughts?

Thank you all very much for your input.  It has definitely got my mind turning.  I'm really leaning towards keeping it as simple as possible by using a Google Spreadsheet... At least in the beginning.  Once a BUNCH of legit leads start coming in I will then invest the hours to learning a CRM and then incorporate it in my business.

Thanks again to you all! Have a great weekend!

Hey @Valerie Fulford thanks a lot for your input.  It seems like the logical thing to do would be to learn it right now like you said.  I would hate to fall behind and have to do it in the future.  I will be creating an account today.  Thanks a lot for your advice.

How is your business going btw?

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question.  I have sent my first yellow letter campaign out a few days ago and have gotten a few calls from tire kickers.  I'm wondering if I should get a CRM set up or just simply track my results from a spreadsheet for now?

Thank you very much

P.s. Looking at Podio, it seem a bit overwhelming... Maybe because I've been looking at my simple little excel spreadsheet a lot.

Hey @Mark Nelson

Thanks a lot for your response.  That's exactly what I will do then.  I know it's not a number he will like but like you said, he can only say no.

Thanks again!
