Do I need a certain stamp for my mailing campaign?

Hello all,

I will be doing my very first Direct Mail campaign next week and I'm wondering if there is a certain kind of stamp I need to buy?  I noticed on the USPO site that there are Forever stamps, Additional ounce stamps, postcard stamps ect... I know this is probably a dump question but I just don't want to purchase the wrong kind.

Thank you very much!

Hi @Benjamin Blackburn,

I don't do mailers from an investment standpoint so I may be way off base. Just the random thoughts of me here.

If it's just a postcard can't you use the postcard rates of 35 cents and skip the envelope? If most people just throw the envelope out they never see the postcard, at least this way they see it and take a quick mental note before they throw it (and it may stick in their brain for later). Plus you can send more.

Just a thought and Good Luck!
