Post: Are Series LLCs an option in North Carolina?

I'm looking into the available options for a wholesaler, and an out-of-state investor I've been talking to mentioned Series LLC.

From my understanding, rather than establishing a new LLC for each property and then selling the entire LLC to the buyer each time, you can establish one Series LLC and make a new "cell" for each property. Then you can add and remove members from each cell as needed.

But I can't find much information on this and I haven't been able to find any info that's NC specific.  Does anybody know if this is an option here?  Has anybody done this?

We use corian and formica regularly at work. Tried Meganite ONCE and will never make that mistake again.

It is cheaper but not as durable. It scratches and chips ridiculously easily so if you were to use it in a rental you'd most likely want to replace it for every new tenant.

I'd say stick with formica and if you really want to bump it up go with corian.

Post: Any flippers/rehabbers in the area?

Are there any flippers/rehabbers in Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point, Jamestown, etc? I'm looking for somebody that wouldn't mind me looking over their shoulder and just watching and learning.

I want to see the reality of what it takes to rehab a house in various levels of disrepair and learn the differences between rehabbing for a flip and rehabbing for a rental.

Or, if you're just open to answer questions that would be great too

For those wholesalers that have access to the MLS, how? Did you get your real estate license, become a broker, team up with an agent, become an "assistant"? Was it worth it?

And for those that go without the MLS, what do you do instead to get useful information on properties?

Jessica, there's a Triad REIA meetup two Tuesdays from now I plan on attending. Of course we could always just meet for coffee or lunch sometime!

Jalen, I sent you a request!

Hello!  I am a new wholesaler looking for other wholesalers, flippers, rental buyers, etc that may be interested in any deals I find!  I am in the Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem area.

Hello!  My name is Adrienne.  I've been interested in real estate investing for a while and found BiggerPockets last week.  I'm primarily interested in fix and flips and small multifamily rentals.

I've learned A LOT already!  But now I am at a point where I'm not sure where to go from here.  I have read a number of books and articles that say, "Education is key!  Make sure you do plenty of research and learn about [insert specific type of investing here] and your market before you jump in."  I've also read probably the same number of books and articles that say, "Don't waste too much time reading.  Get out there and DO IT!"

So I'm at the point where I'm not sure whether I should take my time to network, establish some contacts, read and study and learn enough that I feel comfortable diving in...or if I should just go for it and start looking to set up my first purchase.

Some advice please!  What did you do?  What do you wish you did when you first started?
