Has anyone heard of Larry Goins
Has anyone used any of his products. I went through his site and listened to some of the resources and the software he is offering would really save a lot of time and help build a buyer and sellers list.
Thanks,
Bones
I know that he is on the get real podcast a lot and they seem to love him. hope that helps

He's a great guy who is very knowledgeable. He is one of the "Gurus" that we like here at BiggerPockets.
Yes, Larry seems to be a respectable person. He has some great pod casts that I listen to often. I wouldn't pay for any of his material or bootcamps, but then I wouldn't pay for anyones boot camp.
Larry has a free boot camp about once every couple of months or so. His events are always awesome and he is very approachable. I have called into his office several times with questions and except for once or twice when he was traveling, he took my call and helped me out.
I highly recommend Larry and his staff!!
I have Larry's home study materials. While I haven't gone through the entire package I do think that Larry is incredibly helpful and will bend over backwards to help you get to the finish line (so he can get his duly earned testimonial! Ha.) Beware his REO officers list is really spotty (many fields missing in the 270 or so records) and it doesn't seem to be current. I don't think he's actively working that business. His deal analysis software is very simplistic as well. But Larry personally has a heart of gold. I have met Larry a few times.

I've listened to his podcast and he sounds like he has a good system. I'm with TC though about not going to bootcamps and buying kits.

Larry has quality materials and is a genuinely good guy...he is one of only a few people that I would recommend.
Get course, you will get results if you follow what he outlines for you. Some of the things he suggest will require you to pay for services but you can do that after you do a few deals
He answers his own emails too. I would mail him, if you had specific questions about his program(s).
i've read reviews about him and his service. all of them are really good and he really helps you like a friend
heard many good things about him!!
His company has been calling me for months to book a date to speak at my club. I have been on the fence about it because I am not interested in bringing in speakers who do a big Pitch and Sell.
They just sent me their product so I will start listening to it. Can someone tell me what they think of their presentation at meetings? Is it educational or just a pitch and sell?
THanks!
Rosie
Hi Rosie...He will pitch, but also gives out free useful info along the way...I would agree to host him if I were in charge of a REI Club...Charles
He is going to be at our local REIA meeting tomorrow. I have heard about him but never inquired. I know a few who have followed his system and did well. I and going to go and check out what he has to say.

I second that. I emailed him about some general wholesaling questions that I had. Didn't have anything to do with his products and in about 4 days he got back to me. Didn't try to sell me anything, just genuinely answered about 5 questions about wholesaling in general. A lot of "gurus" won't take the time out to answer newbie questions so he earned my respect for that.
Yep, hes a good guy, and offers lots of free info. He will sell you, though. Thats what this business is about, so no big deal. It seems the "go to guys" like larry, offer a good amount of free info, while selling their courses. I have no problem with that, if the full course is actually "full".
I would have him speak if I operated an investing club, and ask for a percentage of his sales that came from the meeting. Maybe charge him an upfront fee, as well. He sells......so can we.
Does Larrys courses address buying mortgage notes? I am looking for help on trying to buy a discounted 2nd mortgage note at a steep discount 1 month prior to foreclosure. Im willing to take the risk as I am the listing agent on the property. This will be my first real "investor" move. As a REO/SS Broker I got tired of watching everyone making all this cash, Im ready to get off the fence and need direction. Saw Larry's name come up a couple of times when googling the Junior Lien Cash Machine course. Anyone thinking they can help is welcome to PM me. Willing to pay for mentorship on my first deal. Thanks in advance.
Larry is the former president of my REIA. I have had the pleasure of meeting him on a number of occasions. He's a great guy. I have emailed him on a number of occasions and he has always hit me back really fast.
Larry is the only guru that I respect.
I'm a newbie and I bought the larry goins course (ultimate buying and selling machine) several months back. It was great to get me started and his system is geared so that you don't even have to spend money on marketing and advertising. it is really helpful because he gives you scripts on how to talk to realtors, sellers, and buyers. I especially like his realtor and seller script because he does a real soft pitch for what could be considered insulting offers and shows you how to get around realtors feeling like you are wasting their time.
i must admit that i didn't get a deal within the first 60 days and became discouraged, but something curious happened. i am in the process of getting my first deal, and it came from a realtor that i had called in the first few days of implementing his system who's seller was "motivated" but not really. well, this realtor contacted me a few months after i spoke with her and brought me a real motivated seller who has agreed to sell on my terms! i do regret not having persisted more with his approach because of the missed opportunities, but i am excited that i finally have a deal in the pipeline and this one literally cost me nothing in marketing and advertising, just picking up the phone and implementing larry's system.
i would recommend it to newbies, but i think would also be very useful to experienced investors who haven't systematized their business and would like a footprint so that, as he puts it, you can work less in your business and more on your business.
How useful are his bookmarks that come with the course?
