How to find investors or landlords who need help co-hosting?

This is my first post. I currently own an Airbnb in Saratoga Springs, NY. We made superhost status in a very short time and we love hosting - so we decided we want to help people run their short term rentals. We started a property management company but are finding it hard to find landlords or investors who are looking for someone to host their property. Does anyone have an tips, tricks, or meet ups in the Capital Region that might help us find clients who are looking to have someone run their short term rental?

Definitely go to every real estate meetup you can. Beyond that you could start cold calling/dming hosts. If I were you I would look for listings that are underperforming where you can come in and make some easy changes that will dramatically increase their booking.

I would call around local brokerages and offer to meet up with them. Share what you have done and what you can offer their clients. The more the word is out then the more opportunities will come.

@Blake Santoro Welcome to bigger pockets! You need to connect with @Brian Green. He does STR's and Multifamily up there and he also does meetups regularly. He's a local expert and an all around great dude too.

This isn't capital region specific, but I also started up a Short Term Rental Property Management company a while back. In terms of generating leads, I posted videos on social media about Airbnb, started up a FB group, and provided a lot of value to people with what I knew.

Over time, I built up a rapport and people started viewing me as a subject matter expert. At that point, I noticed people would start messaging me about property management without much more outreach on my own. I'd recommend building up your brand & share your expertise out so people can develop rapport & trust with you. Once you have that, like other people have said, just keep attending Meetups and put yourself out in front of people.

It's easy to make super host when you start because Airbnb put newbies at the top of the search results to start with.

Look at what's available on the market and pitch to those lacking in reviews and superhost status your services.

@Blake Santoro believe NY state requires a real estate broker's license for 3rd party management.

Start reaching out to hosts in your area and see if they are interested.

You need a broker's license to manage for 3rd parties in NYS. If you're looking for a meetup, the Capital Region REIA meets the third Tuesday of every month at the Hilton Garden Inn in Clifton Park from 6-9pm.

Congratulations on your successful Airbnb and reaching Superhost status! Starting a property management company to help others run their short-term rentals sounds like a great idea. Here are a few tips that I've seen work.  1.  Network with local real estate agents ... Provide them value via lunch & learns...  2.  Social media presence.....Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are great places to start.  3.  Create a funnel by providing a free market analysis ... 4.  Offer consultations  5. Network w/ landlords... Hope this helps!

I haver been using facebook groups frequently in my markets of interest (Gulf Shores/Orange Beach) to find cohosting leads and have found it very reliable! A lot of people need help running a successful airbnb so congrats for noticing this trend and wanting to help solve the issue! I think this is going to be a fantastic year to scale cohosting/property management portfolios. People who bought at the top of the market within the past couple years and have listings that aren't performing well are going to freak out and either decide to sell, repurpose the home, or find a cohost/property management. Best of luck, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
