There are other criteria you can filter on, but that might be a good place to start and may save you some time.

Buying a MF is a competitive thing, so a good down payment and funds to make your offer more competitive (like asking for no seller contingencies or having a conventional loan) will go a long way towards getting you into a living situation where you may have some breathing room.

Some of the guys with real machine flipping businesses have clear filters of "x" % because they analyze 20 deals a day, and must get through them quickly.  

You may also want to filter for your own criteria-- number of bedrooms, house value, etc.

Pull 10-20 that you think you should filter, and 10-20 that look like keepers and spot check them.  

Just some slight background information on me, I did one year at Kent State University studying Finance and French but after the pressure of student loans breathed down my neck I couldn't justify the cost for no definite gain.

So if the filters you want give you enough leads to keep you busy, then don't worry too much about the fact that there may be more... you can always work on figuring out how to find those after you've exhausted the ones that you can find.

So my question is as follows.Is there any state/county code that will help me to filter my map when driving for dollars to put me into areas that are primarily used for MFH or will I have to drive the areas and just take note of where the MFH units are located.
