Definitely look at comps now, and get a real idea of how much you can rent it out for.I have lived in both, and the biggest stress is your HOA, they set the rules, and you pretty much how no control of costs.. one time I got a bill for $1700 to replace the front porch rails-- would have cost me $200 and I could have done it myself, but because it was a HOA, they had to do it.. stuff like that makes me never want to get a townhouse.
