Interested in Investing in Vacant Lots

Hello Everyone,

I’m interested in investing in vacant lots in my local area. I’m currently living in a small town Lafayette, In but I’m also considering land investing in Indianapolis, In.

I have somewhat of an understanding of the beginning process of land investing . I know I would need to find a decent deal for a low price and basically upsell it to a potential buyer.

I’m curious about the different exit strategies and for selling the land and what is a realistic time frame of getting the lot resold to a potential buyer.

Thanks, in advance for all tips and feedback

Lets look at this objectively.  You make money buy buying low and selling high.   When you invest in land, you could buy a property for $500 and sell for $3000.    Now to some of the people on bp, that's not a win.  But to others on this list that's quite a return on investment.   Land is something where you don't have to worry about tenant issues, termites or toilets.  Why not start small like a lot if you don't have a lot to invest in.  Learn the ropes and then buy larger parcels.  Learn how to buy at at tax sale on the smaller stuff then grow it.   I think its a great strategy.
