Wanting to invest with money from an IRA

Newbie investors getting prepared for our first deal. Most of money is in an IRA. I have read a few articles on how to use it for real estate investing, but still a little confused on the process. Anybody have some tips on the best direction to go or have used this method in the past. Thanks in advance.
