My favorite so far was the broken toilet chain repaired with a surgical rubber glove tied from the pinky to the thumb, which caused the toilet to leak at 5 gallons per minute for days on end... yeah, wasn't too thrilled about that one!

A GFI w/o ground is not wired properly.The black wire goes to the GOLD screw, The white wire to the SILVER screw, and the green wire goes to the GREEN tab on the bottom.Technically:the white is the "neutral" wire and connects in the subpanel as a ground the black connects (some times via a switch aka an overhead light) to the subpanel to a circuit breaker - -black can also connect, unswitched from wall outlet to another outlet and then to the subpanel circuit breakerGROUND/GREEN is common to all outlets and is terminated to the subpanel case.

If this helps (I've had birds, including finches, canaries, a sun conure, a blue and gold macaw and currently have a rescued african grey), Eclectus tend to be less loud than other parrots (that sun conure was great for a hearing impaired person!)
