Do you rent your property to Bird owner? Someone inquired who have Eclectus Parrot. How much you charge the pet fee and do you charge any monthly fee? Please let me know pros and cons with bird in rental property.

Thanks

If this helps (I've had birds, including finches, canaries, a sun conure, a blue and gold macaw and currently have a rescued african grey), Eclectus tend to be less loud than other parrots (that sun conure was great for a hearing impaired person!) but does need interaction with it's owners which means it shouldn't be locked in it's cage 24/7.   Like many parrots, it can chew (those are big beaks!)  so a concern would be that the owner provide toys instead of your woodwork to keep the bird busy when the owner is not home.  These are considered medium sized parrots (bigger than a lovebird, smaller than a macaw).  If it is let out of it's cage it would need to have it's wings clipped to prevent it from flying around your rental, landing (and pooping) where it sits.

It is a good idea to visit the applicants present residence to see the setup with their pet bird.

Keep in mind that bird people will often collect other birds (I once owned 200 Lady Gouldian finches in my own house).
