@Matt B.Well, the first thing that comes to mind, is IF he found you through Airbnb or VRBO and then you let him book offsite, you are creating a minimal, but possible, risk to your business relationship with that platform.

My understanding is that cost is usually passthrough -- so you are charged say, $150 per cleaning...each stay is charged $150 on the platform.

When I have been offered access to it by Realtors or friends, I usually end up using a platform like Zillow anyway.....I just don't find any benefit to it nowadays......30 years ago, of course, but not now. 

I do typically tell people that it's a nice free platform to use to get an idea of some sort.

I'm just so glad to finally be a part of a platform like this where I have so much to learn from everyone.

If you were purchasing from someone who self hosted it can be a much easier transition, where they assist you in transferring bookings, provide you with photos and videos so you can get on the platforms quicker etc..

The only platform I've used to attend networking mixers with other investors is the Meetup app, however I'm sure there are more platforms in today's day and age that allow real estate participants to connect with each other.
