With 14 properties, over the last 20 years I’ve made a $30k water claim 10 years ago,I ate a $5500 water problem about 5 years ago, and recently a $1500 water problem.

Since our sale was within 2-4 years of the properties purchased, the closing costs on both ends really ate up our profits.

We like purchasing long term buy and hold properties and this fit our investing strategy to a tee.

I read, slept, and ate real estate. 

Couldn't make the car payment because the dog ate the credit card they were going to make their car payment with, and then the sister in law stole their last beer, so you know they had to make a choice... whatever. 

Alas, I chose to keep it civil/easy for a smooth ride to closing and ate the remediation cost.

I spotted a TED talk Emilie Wapnick about what to do when there is no one thing that you're passionate about.

It is a cylinder of concrete around 6" dia. x 12" tall.

We ate out a handful of times in that whole year.

I wanted to stay longer but my wife insisted it was time to rent our own place lol.My wife also gets 1 free meal from her restaurant for every 4 hours she works so she usually ate free twice a day sometimes getting 3 free meals a day.
