Definitely a super thoughtful gesture.

@Marc Pfleger I think 1200.00 (0.66%) is a kind gesture on your part given the agent wasn't involved at all.  

People in government offices often have to deal with not so friendly people and that kind of gesture will often go a long way; just being nice, polite, and showing some gratitude will go a long way.

After talking to our pool guy, losing the 5 feet in the backyard will required a major redesign of the backyard and would work best if we could get an automatic pool cover (wont go into the reasons but I agree with him)The builder originally offered us 10K as a good faith gesture (original purchase price was ~$750K) or would fully refund our purchase.

However, rather than a drawn out email/text thing, I'm thinking to give her a $100 good faith, goodwill gesture refund without making sure it is not a admission of guilt or liability. 

While I have not been attacked, it has come close, I had psychos screaming in my face with all the gestures, etc...

I thought it would be a gesture of goodwill and would help me get a set of eyes on the property on a regular basis. 

I have had tenants text me "Merry Christmas" which is a nice gesture, but annoying.

In my younger years, it was difficult to see the systematic subtleties that overall lead to discrimination.Now that I have quite a bit of experience and have overcome quite a bit , there are even more very subtle gestures or reactions that I may find out later.ANYWAY.....

Demands of stand/clap in formation/do a nonsense hand gesture are sales techniques.
