My guess is virtually always the class an area property will have the lower maintenance/cap ex.Same city 2 properties:  one is 4/3/3, 3000’ 20 miles inland and rents for $4k/month.  

Building industry relationships might help you identify investors interested in land development projects.Use Online Platforms, Connect with possible investors who might be interested in your project by using internet platforms such as LinkedIn, real estate investment forums, and crowdfunding websites.

I know California is known for being pricy in certain areas but wasn't sure about in land Cali.

Personally, I think the biggest driver of appreciation in Florida outside of business and tax friendliness is the lifestyle and inland Florida is not nearly as attractive in that regard.

I have no background in real estate, but I'm looking to learn a lot from all of you, work my way up the ladder, and eventually build an empire that can will produce cash flow and support my family long-term.

Then by the time there was capital there was no longer an employee market from tech to support this outlayer project (think Inland Empire to Los Angeles comparison).Three major Bay area submarkets would have supported this (not to mention Santa Clarita) and not one lender would touch this based on the state of the tech industry, alone.We were lucky to flip out of the project to a substantial home builder who had excess capital capacity.The entire region is heavily dependent on the technology industry.
