I have never had problems with electric turning them on, even as a listing broker for banks, I have literally done this hundreds of times, they have to chase the customer that the bills name was in, not the new customer, the one exception is if the utility supplier is a municipality.   

@Khoa Ha be sure to ask your list supplier about this.

I've even sent contractors and roof suppliers to my HOA president to help him find someone.

I think the spec was too small, given what I read, and may also need to find a higher quality supplier... lesson learned.

Any new job suppliers coming to town that you know of or building projects?

If flying over is not an option for you,, I think you have no choice but to wait the 6 months out and get yourself ready with all the peripherals - solidify your plan of action and market,  reach out to potential partners and suppliers, research financing options, insurance, management etc etc- so when you do finally get there- you can hit the ground running.The other option that I am now  getting more involved in slowly - is online  crowdfunding - A lot less hands on- but far more doable long distance.All the best

I was paying my window supplier two days ago and his biggest client was in to pay his stuff also, 18 on-going projects.

The smaller, more personal suppliers will be able to give you more specific feedback than the big box stores.Good luck!
