What can I do from abroad?

Hey, BP

I am currently living abroad in Tel Aviv Israel with my girlfriend for 6 months. I became inspired to do REI shortly before leaving the states but now I am about 6 months away from where I want to begin my investing.

What can I do to build myself as an REI even from afar (besides just study and research, I have been doing plenty of that I can assure you!)

Thanks!

ground floor.co is a crowdfunding site that caters to nonaccredited investors. The one thing I would caution you to do is to make sure that someone knowledgeable in real estate hope you verify the investments there. A few investors are telling me that one or two of the previous investments may not have had proper due diligence done.  I'm investigating further to get to the bottom of it. Either way, don't make any assumptions.

The other option is Fundrise. They have a new eReit that is open to non-accredited investors. This has the advantage of being several properties and one fun, so you get more diversification protection.

Hope this helps.
