I have a Schlage Encode Connect unit that has been in service for 6 years now with zero issues and we have some severe weather.Ours is connected via Z Wave.

I use kwikset 914 locks - these are z-wave back to a samsung/aeotec Smarthings controller accessible via the web.  

It may be 1 meeting for the P&Z and a 2nd for the City Council. 

That's not to say that they won't be replaced by East Coasters and Gen-Z. 

But if I do XY and Z with it I should be able to buy you (whatever it is she would like) year after year.And you will probably not a get a go ahead from her just based on this, you will probably have to educate her further on how this (CAN) work...with the flip side being, of course you could lose your (you know what) too....so make sure you now your stuff...Don't expect to drive competitively in NASCAR with a learners permit--make sure you 'know your stuff" about this business.Good Luck!
