“To require Tenants to endure the inspections before challenging the inspection requirement would render Tenants’ Article I, Section 8 privacy rights illusory,” the Court declared.

That way it's spelled out and it minimizes impact on their privacy. 

I would love the seclusion/privacy and wouldn't mind a ten minute drive to Starbucks. 

Trusts are a form of ownership allowing control of the asset while providing a layer of anonymity/privacy (that's why they are used and recommended).

-rental income should be higher on a triplex due to having own kitchen, privacy, ect.

I would prefer to buy through an entity, if only for the asset protection and privacy it affords.

Unfortunately our privacy is much needed and so living at home with our parents is not a possibility for our relationship even though I understand that it would save us a lot of money. 

My opinion honestly is that if your in a single family neighborhood and you try to turn it more Into a duplex the neighborhood HOA won't allow it and to have two separate units in one building you'd probably need to knock out walls and add a divider in the middle for privacy, which is going to cost you more money.

They claim to operate within the law (PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws), but I will need to do a little more investigation (information security and privacy is my "other" profession) before deciding how legitimate they are.  

The property is rented out for about $3500 a month, so for inexpensive items (less than $50), I feel bothersome, unless tenants don’t value their privacy as much.
