LLC for first Multi Family?
Hello all-
My wife and I are looking to kick off the new year by jumping into our first multi-family investment property. We have narrowed our search Criteria to 2-family properties in North Jersey. I have experience rehabbing my primary residence and selling for profits, but I have never owned an investment property.
1. Should I buy the property in my name and then move it into an LLC?
2. Should I start an LLC and buy through the LLC?
3. Should I forget about the LLC altogether and just keep it my name? What are the risks?
