I am a licensed plumber, but have knowledge in carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting, and usually do 90 percent of the rehab work on our flips myself.Since this is a heavy tourist area, we are thinking about doing a STR.

Hoping the work force stays strong until tourists and ships come back strong.

It’s not a “tourist” area but has a great location and access to South Miami, Pinecrest, Kendall, etc.

for STR the location is not really ideal, its located close to industrial area and there is no close tourist destination.

My clients and I - as investors - love the vacation rental business and tend to invest in high-end tourist areas that command at least 80% occupancy year-round with property appreciation in the 20%+ range. 

The 1 that does not have an office is the smallest, most exclusive and most expensive town to live in and there’s only a few small businesses there that cater primarily to tourists.

The boy is from Latin America on a tourist visa here.

So the as harder to find properties remotely.But you are correct - PR is great and i think someday it will become a state and get a ton more popular when tourists.....
