In fact the Obama administration just said last week  something ambiguously implying we should backstop Greece and the Euro as if in it's our economic best interests to keep this failed experiment known as the EU solvent.  

Seems like they charge an awful lot to research the title and liens, insure the title, pay off the mortgage if any, prorate utilities and taxes, and file the documents.I'm getting a cheap property, have researched the title and liens online, seller is solvent and has no mortgage and easy to find (lived locally all his life), and am comfortable taking the risk of going without title insurance.

@Tony Castronovo Whenever I purchase Condos, The fee to do the HOA transfer has always been paid by the Seller, it washes out during the Title process and is typically paid by the Title company to the HOA.
