@Vlad Bakman I asked my parents but they couldn't find anything. I'd recommend talking about it with the builder if its a new build. They should be able to help you out.

@Vlad Bakman They went through the builder to relocate them. I don't remember what company the builder ended up using but I'll ask them to look through the paperwork to see if they can find out!

@Austin Haynes Also from SJ! Currently house hacking my first duplex. The thing I wish I had known about before getting the first house hack is understanding rehab costs better and actually coming up with a schedule to get everything done.

@Brandon Hobbs Thanks for that! I will be sure to reach out if I ever am interested in CRE! I hope others can comment on STR here. They seem great when looking at others in the area. I have two plots of land I'm looking to build on and want to use them as STR. But it seems like a lot of the builders are having a hard time keeping up with demand/having issues with getting supplies. There's about 5 different homes that are being built in my parents neighborhood and they have been taking a very long time (over a year).

@Brandon Hobbs I agree with everything you said. My parents moved to palm coast about a year and a half ago and I think it's a great market. We have been going there for my entire life and it has come such a long way from what it used to be. Would love to hear your thoughts on short term rentals there.

Hey @Jeffrey Palma ! I was in the same boat as you last year when I was on the hunt for my first duplex to house hack. It took me almost a year to finally land something. It was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. It will definitely be tougher using an FHA loan but don't give up! Just keep acting fast when you see a property you like and make offers.

You can check out https://www.naca.com. I would definitely recommend trying to get some money saved up. It's always smart to have reserves just in case anything goes wrong!

@Jayden Hamilton We used Innago to run our applications and they had options to check background, credit, & bankruptcy.
