Post: Business Cards - Is it okay to use non real estate related cards?

I'm planning on doing a buy and hold strategy @Amanda G.. The only reason I am bringing this up is because I have so many of those cards left and I paid a good amount to make them very well designed and professional. You make a great point though. Thanks!

@Jonathan Holmes I agree with your point. Thanks for giving your input. The only thing that's stopping me from doing that is I don't plan on starting my REI business until I have the necessary knowledge, team and I am financially stable. So by going to different meet ups and REI events and giving them a real estate card, wouldn't that be misleading?

Hi all,

This may come across as a dumb question but I figured I would ask anyway... I am new to REI and just graduated college in January. Before I graduated, I made a bunch of business cards that corresponded with my school and major so that when I went to different conferences and networking events I could give them to potential employers. My question is now that I am done with school (since graduated received a job) would it be wrong or not make sense to use these same cards when I go to different REI events/meet ups? I don't have a business in place yet for REI and don't plan on creating one until I'm ready to start actively investing. I know I'm probably over thinking it but I would love to get some feedback or advice.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi all,

I recently just accepted a job in Trenton and instead of having to commute about an hour everyday, I would like to move somewhere near there. After listening to some podcasts, going to meet ups, and reading some blogs, I think  my best move would to do a house hack and invest in a small multifamily. However, I live in middlesex county and I don't know the market down in mercer county. I have been doing my research on the area but I figured I'd ask if anyone has any recommendations or advice on what areas are the best for doing a house hack near Trenton. I would greatly appreciate any feedback! I'm very new to RE investing, so any piece of feedback would be great! Thanks!

Hi BiggerPockets Community,

My name is Kevin and I'm a newbie to real estate investing.I'm new to biggerpockets and just want to introduce myself! I have always had a passion for real estate investing and wanted to jump in but never actually took the action to get started. I just graduated from college and received a full time job and I realized that it's not the path that I would like for the rest of my life. This has given me the motivation and drive to pursue my real estate investing career and obtain the necessary knowledge to become successful in this business.

I would like to join a real estate investing club in NJ(I live in central NJ) and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice as to which club to join. The two I was thinking of joining is the Metropolitan Real Estate & Investors Association and South Jersey Real Estate Investors Association. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me some feedback!

Thanks,

Kevin
