@Nick B. Thanks Nick for the insight!

@Teho Kim Good question. Being that you are out of state, and out of country soon. I'm curious if you have considered investing through apartment syndications? I invest approx 80% of my portfolio in apartment syndications. Lately, I have invested in Tampa and Jacksonville and I am currently vetting an opportunity in Orlando. Syndications are a great way to be 100% passive with investing and live out of state. I live in Denver, CO part of the year, but I own 0 properties in Colorado. Most of my investments are in TX, FL and OH. Best of luck!

@Leah N. Good question. I invest in apartment syndications. Lately, I have invested in Tampa and Jacksonville. I am currently vetting an opportunity in Orlando. Colliers International put out a great research and forecast report for Jacksonville. Happy to share if you're interested. Best of luck!

@Ali Taghikhani I invest in apartment syndications in Florida and I also have a primary residence in Florida. Lately, I have invested in Tampa and Jacksonville. I am currently vetting an opportunity in Orlando. I'm very bullish on warm, sunny, affordable 0% tax states. Best of luck!

@Jonathan Miller I invest in apartment syndications. Lately, I have invested in Tampa and Jacksonville. I am currently vetting an opportunity in Orlando. Love the FL in general, especially with the migration from high tax states like NY and NJ. Best of luck!

@Jon Roes I just invested in a multi-family property in Jacksonville a few months ago. There is an excellent research and forecast report that was created by Colliers International on Jacksonville stats. Happy to share. Best of luck!

Hi All,

I'd like to hear about (positive or negative) experiences with multifamily syndications. I am an apartment investor, who invests with multiple syndicators. I have seen and heard some crazy stories over the past several years. Does anyone have an interesting experience to share?

Hi All,

I tend to see a lot of posts on BP about multifamily syndication offerings, projected yields and proformas. I'd like to grab some insights from those who have invested in an apartment syndication from beginning to end.

  1. What was the final outcome? Final ROI?
  2. Did you recieve the returns based on the proforma?
  3. Did the deal sell in the timeframe that was expected?

@Gil Lieblich Good question. I have also used this strategy (back when I did SF home investing). I also had a truck, so I had the ability to pick up LOTs of appliances from craigslist for pennies on the dollar. I even got some free appliances in good shape. Some owners upgrade their appliances and put out ads to "come pick them up if you can move them yourself". Love getting deals like that! Best of luck!
