I have had two metal roofs installed and have been pleased with both of them.   Both contractors have been in business for a long time, and have good references.  I was most concerned with quality workmanship and good references, than I was about the price.  I would also ask them the details of their warranty before you decide.

Sounds very interesting.  Will any of your meetups be taking place during the morning hours?

@Nicholas Munford

I recently experienced losing someone very close to me.

I tried to be there as much as possible, but I wasn't able to be there as much as I wanted because of my job.

Being there for those that are closest to me, is my "WHY".

All of the things that I could accumulate in this life, can never get me back my time for that.

@Mandi Martinez I would hire a good certified home inspector to go in and do a full home inspection beforehand.

This knowledge about the home will give you a better advantage when you create your scope of work and will help when dealing with contractors, because you'll know what needs to be done. Plus, if anything comes up that was not pointed out by the home inspector, you can call him back out to look at what he missed, to give you a second opinion on it.

I believe the money spent on a good home inspection, could really save you alot of time, money, and frustration, and would be well worth it.

@Leroy Wallace Jr

We installed man-made quartz countertops about 5 years ago, and then we moved out and rented the home. Three tenants later, the quartz still looks great.

Yes, quartz costs more, however, 5 years later, there are no burn marks, scratches, or damage. A bad tenant can damage anything, but you truely do get what you pay for.

Will I use quartz again moving forward? Yes, I probably will. I like it because it is very durable.

@William C. I would probably run this by your attorney, and get an opinion on the liability.

@Julie Marquez Will the tenant leave your rental in good shape if you keep the money? That is what I would be thinking about.
