Hi @Rachel H.!  I have worked probates for a long time now. You’ll get your best results working directly with executors. You should always use direct mail to connect with them.

I've specialized in probates for more than a decade. I only use white, mail merged, computer generated letters.  If the envelope is hand addressed or looks hand addressed, then that definitely get's the letters opened at a higher rate.

If they open the probate, the creditors will have to be paid.  In my area, the tax collector would become one of the creditors.The probate attorney would also become a creditor and their fees would be paid as well.
