Are there any investors or Realtors on this forum that either own or help investors buy properties to use as short term rentals? I'd love to connect and get some thoughts and advice! Here are a few questions and topics:

1) What is best location for short term rentals in Milwauee?

2) Is it seasonal (Spring, Summer only?)? Or can you get renters all year long?

3) Are there any good short term prop management companies in MKE?

4) Are there any rules from the city and/or certain HOAs that won't allow it, or restrict it?

@Shanelle Sherlin I would definitely recommend that you consider looking into doing short term rentals in that area verse doing long term. You'll probably be able to make quite a bit more money and have much more demand.

@Christian Albright I think your best bet for the price and what you are looking for will be in Aurora. You should talk to @Anson Young about that area.

@Candice Gallego I'd recommend talking to my friend @julian sage who runs a company called Cohostit.com  He's not in Denver, but can use their system and  process to manage property anywhere.

@Ryan Corbeil There is definitely something to be said about surrounding yourself with a group of likeminded people that are doing the same thing you want to do, however there are a ton of resources and people on this forum that can probably help you without you having to pay a bunch of money for a mentorship program. There are some great meetups that are here in Denver (most are online right now), but @Dan Mackin and @Anson Young host a bunch around the Denver metro where you can connect with likeminded individuals. Plus, you can probably connect with some Realtors, Lenders, Contractors, etc on these forums. I'm happy to connect you to some if you'd like.

Hey @Nathanael Jones happy to see such a motivated young professional taking action. I'd be happy to connect you to some great resources that you'll definitely need on your team. Send me a PM if you'd like some Realtor and Lender recommendations.

@Jason Kleve Why not do a cash out refinance on some of your properties to take advantage of the equity and the super low interest rates right now?
