How so? How is a stock price on paper any different from an appraisal price on paper?

Record rate of foreclosures, people left w/o a home. I know, they shouldn't have bought more than they can afford, but that doesn't change the fact they're being evicted. Plus, unemployment in the double digits... you didn't have any of that during the dot com. Was dot com crash ever paralleled to the great depression? I'm sure you can find some obscure reference of that but realistically this is one order of magnitude over the dot com. At least.
