Welcome! Read the forum, listen to the podcasts and watch the webinars. That property to me doesn't sound good because you need to take into account vacancy, capex, repairs, or taxes.

It is in Government Hill on the north side of 35. The property needs a lot of work which is why I'm a little hesitant and its only a 2/1. I am concerned with the type of tenant the area might attract if the neighborhood is picking up then it might be worth it.

I use mint.com. You input all properties, debt, bank account and it tracks it for you

I'm looking at a property near Fort Sam a couple blocks north of I-35. The neighborhood looked a little mixed with some pretty nice houses and some other not so nice houses. Does anyone have experience/knowledge of this area of San Antonio? I read on article in the San Antonio Business Journal that there's been some companies moving into the east side and it's starting to build up a bit.

So I'm looking for information on a vendor's lien though the Secretary of Veterans Affair. The property has been inherited if that makes any difference. Is the lien still valid after 10 years or is it negotiable? Where would I look to find more information about it?

There's the Alamo REIA and SAREIA that are the two main ones and if you go on meetup.com there's other smaller ones on there you can find.

If y'all want to pm me I'll send you the survey to figure out a time and place to meet.
