Hi Vincent! There is definitely potential to profit with this, especially with short term rentals. Definitely better with mountains that have year round attractions so that you aren't only filling the space in the winter. I don't know Mount Snow super well but I think there's plenty going on around there in the summer! Short term rentals can be a great way to make money. You should do some research just looking around airbnb and other short term rental sights to see what other folks are renting their spaces for to get an initial idea of the numbers! Awesome idea though.

Welcome to the community @William Craig! It is awesome how encouraging everyone is and amazing how many resources there are on here. I'm sure everyone else would be curious too, what's your 6-12 month real estate goal right now for location and/or type of property you are looking for? Since you're getting going again!

@Anita Jones ask them questions like do they know what a good cap rate in the market is, do they work with investors often, can they think of buyers for your place already, what's their process for making sure they have the right info on your income and expense and informing your tenants of showings.
