Hello!  Does anyone have recommendations for property managers in Memphis, TN?

I would really like to find a company that deals with Airbnb rentals and has experience in this area, but I will speak with others as well.

Thanks!

Thanks!  I actually registered with govease and filled out a W9.  However, afterwards, I was told to contact the county where I wanted to go to the tax sale.  The county asked me for the check and letter.

Hello all!  I plan to attend a tax sale in Mississippi soon and the local county assessor told me that I need a letter of credit and a blank check to register for the sale.  What is the easiest and quickest way to get a letter of credit?  Go through my local bank?  Are there other alternatives? Does anyone have experience with tax slaes in MS?

Thanks!

Post: Renting vs. Buying in Bend

I think I know the answer already, but I always get valuable info here so I thought I would ask the BP forum.

My family and I have been traveling for the past year and we landed in Bend, Oregon. We love the place and are thinking about settling here.  This is the nicest time of year in Bend, so as southerners we want to see if we can handle a winter.  Plus, with time, maybe the novelty will wear off.  Also, it appears homes are currently overvalued and the market may be near its peak.

We plan to stay for the next 10 months or more to see if we really like Bend enough to settle down.  In this market, should we buy or rent? I feel I'm giving money away by renting, but n0t sure buying makes much sense either.  Any advice?  Thanks!

Post: Can I claim a rental on my taxes when renting to family?

I own a home that is rented out by my brother.  I have never claimed the home on my taxes.  I am attempting to get new loans and since this home is not showing income, it counts against me as a monthly note, thus limiting by purchasing power.

Can I claim this rental on my taxes, and if so, what is the best way to do so?  Thanks!

Great advice, Karen.  Thanks!   Do you feel this is the overall market or are some neighborhoods that may be better than others.  Are you familiar with Woodriver Village?

We have been looking at investmests such as duplexes that we could live in temporarily until we find a longer term home, or until we decide to make Bend a permanent home.

Hello!  We are a traveling family and have been on the road for almost a year.  Currently, we are in Bend, Oregon.  The city is amazing and we may have found a place that makes us want to settle!  Relating to real estate, can anyone give some general advice on the area or recommend local people to work with?

From looking, I have noticed that the prices are higher than many parts of the country.  Locals pay a premium for such a beautiful area!  Does anyone have opinions on the local state of the market?  Should I hold out to buy?  Will prices continue to surge?  Any advice will be appreciated!

This is a completely off-topic question, but I have to ask.  I really love how the functionality of the BiggerPockets website.  I am looking to set up a website for my education business.  The forums, the ability to follow others, and other features would really be beneficial to what I have in mind.  Do you all use Wordpress or have any suggestions on who to go through to get these types of features?  Thanks!
