Tax Sale in Mississippi

Hello all!  I plan to attend a tax sale in Mississippi soon and the local county assessor told me that I need a letter of credit and a blank check to register for the sale.  What is the easiest and quickest way to get a letter of credit?  Go through my local bank?  Are there other alternatives? Does anyone have experience with tax slaes in MS?

Thanks!
