Just got my first deal. Now we are ready to renovate. Is it customary to pay contractors anything up front? Most bids came in asking for 50% up front and 50% upon completion.

I'm new at this so bear with my inexperience. I have an LLC for another business, which I'm not doing anything with, (it's a farm not in production anymore). Can I use that same LLC or should I get a new one. I need to close in a few days using a hard money lender. Or should I close in my name and transfer to LLC later?

Opinions on the Killeen TX area. Looks like a buy and hold area. Is anyone successful with flips in the area? How many DOM before selling? Any streets too sketchy?

Looks expensive. Maybe if someone was trying to flip hundreds of houses a year.
